Some ideas take time. Some take years of failing, tweaking, and refusing to give up. BetelO is one of those stories.

It all began with Sandeep—a journalist with a deep interest in traditional remedies. During his research, he discovered : the powerful health benefits of betel leaves. Used in Ayurveda for centuries, these leaves were known for aiding digestion, boosting immunity, and supporting overall well-being. Yet, in today’s world, they were nowhere to be found.

Determined to make betel leaves a part of his daily routine, Sandeep set out to buy them. But reality hit hard—they were difficult to source, spoiled quickly, and had no easy way of consumption. That’s when an idea sparked: What if betel leaves could be enjoyed in a simple, convenient way, anytime, anywhere?

And so, the journey began. But it wasn’t easy.

We’re on a mission to revive the age-old wisdom of betel leaves and forgotten Indian herbs, transforming them into nourishing teas for daily wellness. The Farmers No One Saw

As Sandeep dove deeper into sourcing betel leaves, he uncovered a heartbreaking truth—farmers growing these leaves were struggling. Nearly 66% of their harvest was wasted due to poor storage and lack of buyers. Decades ago, betel leaf farming was thriving. Now, farmers were forced to give up on this crop, shifting to uncertain jobs just to survive.

This wasn’t just a business problem. It was a crisis. And it needed a solution.

We set out with two missions: to make the goodness of betel leaves accessible to everyone and to give farmers the dignity and stability they deserve.

Today, we work directly with 100+ betel leaf farmers, ensuring fair wages and ethical sourcing. Every leaf in our tea is carefully selected, preserving its rich nutrients while giving you a simple, natural way to enjoy its benefits. This journey wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, failures, and roadblocks. But the vision remained clear: no more wasted leaves, no more struggling farmers, no more lost traditions.
